Viewing other's missions
What if we were able to watch other players as they do their missions? As if we were watching alliance battles.

Over 9000 metadata stored on the server causing massive lag and slowing down the game in general. Thousands of videos watching people running discord or sabway with H&H and seeing pugs fail....

Why would anyone want to sit around watching others do missions? If you want to learn how to do them, there's wiki. If you want to see how runners do missions, pay the runner. And, as gerlin said, it would be a massive resource hog. This is NOT an "Awesome idea."

Because servers are just endless reels of power that can fully support such a concept.

the concept would be amazing. imagine the amount of laughs you would get watching people fail and call each other names in PuG groups. people raging and seeing some of the most f'd up builds being played badly.
but the practical side of it is not worth the effort. but god damn it would be funny

And that's why there should be servers set up just for this. DUH. You wouldn't run this on the same servers as the actual game play. There would be a time difference between actual play and watching. How is that so hard. There are games that do it all the time. And I'm sure that people would be watching to learn how to do certain things, but mainly just to watch. It's the same as watching alliance battles or something. Just actual game play instead of a special battle. Why is that so hard?

Only if it was associated with some kind of reward. If not its going to be as popular as challenge missions are now.

Although it could be somehow good for some players to learn some things, the pros don't compensate for the cons.
In PvE:
- People wanting other to see what they do should use things like Youtube.
- People wanting to see others playing should join in their parties.
The only exception I could add is some solo missions, like Polymock or the Norn tournament. But not as observers, but as 'spectators', with their skills disabled and where other spectators or the referee are.

The only way I could see this happening is to add an option to the party window to add spectators, with a limit of how many spectators there could be. That way, people could be watching how people do farms or runs or just generally play in PvE, but not get in the way, and it's not necessary to save videos of players playing these areas.
